“The interplay of wisdom and compassion”
At the beginning of November 2017 we invited our project partner in Nepal, Dolpo Tulku Rinpoche, to a lecture in Kirchheim. The topic was “The interplay of wisdom and compassion” . It was an inspiring lecture because wisdom and compassion are particularly in demand in times of war, millions of refugees and great need in many parts of the world.
Fortunately, more than 50 visitors came to the lecture and we were also able to briefly discuss our projects. The net proceeds of the evening went to the donation account of the foundation. We are very happy to be able to “present” our project partners to the people on site. Dolpo Tulku Rinpoche is always welcome, there are very stimulating discussions with him at every meeting. He has already been to the USA and some countries in Europe this year and has recently visited part of his home area in the Dolpo.
Here is a short extract from the content:
“Compassion is a central theme in Buddhism as in most religions, spiritual paths and also in society itself. But just having compassion is not enough if you don’t know how to do it to help other beings. Therefore wisdom is inseparable from compassion when it should be effective. Dolpo Tulku Rinpoche explains how we generate these two aspects and let it become one. ”
Tulku also created a small video for us in 2017, where he expressed his thanks to the HUMAN Foundation – and thus all donors – for funding the winter school in Saldang. p >
